Welcome To The Hatchery 

The Highland Homestead specialises in rare breed poultry, turkeys & waterfowl. We have a wide selection of birds suitable for laying, ornamental or for the table. The Highland Homestead focuses on quality rather than quantity, with genetic improvement being at the heart of our rare breed programmes. All of our birds are fed the highest quality breeders pellets complete with probiotics ensuring optimum fertility & health. Many of our birds are of the highest quality, placing at shows and helping to conserve these wonderful breeds.

All of our eggs are hand turned, weighed and monitored during incubation. All birds for sale are hatched and reared on the farm, we do not buy any in from external sources. The only exception to this is retired breeding birds that we purchased from other breeders as part of our breeding programme and this will be specified on their listing.

Birds available will be listed on our for sale page. Waiting lists are in place for most breeds so please contact us if you wish to be put down for a specific breed. 

Hatching eggs may be available on occasion.
