The Highland Homestead Sheep
Sheep are a wonderful addition for those looking to maintain grassland, harvest fibre or provide meat for their family. The Highland Homestead is home to our small mixed flock of sheep, our main grazing force. In addition to yearly lambs for sale, the sheep also provide us with high quality wool which we hand spin and meat boxes will also be available shortly.

Blue Faced Leicester Crosses
Currently, our BFL based flock consists of bottle babies Ali Baba, our BFL x Cheviot tup, ewe lamb Alice (BFL x Cheviot) and our wether Daisy (BFL x Cheviot). Whilst not purebred, they were a big start to our breeding plans and have the best crimpy fleeces. Plus, you simply cannot beat those ears... Ali has produced some fantastic lambs over the past 2 years and has truly earned his place on the farm.
Pedigree Oxford Down
We currently have 4 beautiful pedigree registered Oxford Down ewes.
Oxford Downs are a fantastic rare breed sheep that not only have fantastic wool, but are also a hardy breed that produce fast growing, high quality lambs, perfect for commercial or small farmers.
We are very excited to see our journey develop with this breed, and hopefully will have more in the future...

Cheviot x Easycare
Belonging to our mini shepherdess Ryver, our two Cheviot x Easycare ewes are the start of her own flock and serve as extra lawn mowers on the farm. We can't wait to see what she chooses to breed them with in the future and their wonderful fleeces next year!

Pedigree Polled Dorset
We are currently in the process of setting up our pedigree Polled Dorset mini flock. Our wonderful ram Captain Tom is a loveable big boy who produces large, fast growing lambs and we should expect some pedigree polled dorsets in the next lambing season.
